The Band Perry's Kimberly Perry says she really likes how country music is diversifying.  The singer calls the country format "American art," which can be expressed in a variety of ways.

The Band Perry has included more rock elements on their new album, Pioneer, which is in stores today.  The group has a number of events scheduled this week to promote the album.

The band marked release day with an appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America" and a feature on ABC's "Nightline."  They'll play an iHeartRadio Live show that fans can catch live at www.iheartradio.com/thebandperry Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. Eastern.  On Saturday the group will headline the Outnumber Hunger benefit airing on AXS-TV at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.

The Band Perry will wrap up the week with a performance at the Academy of Country Music Awards.  They're also among the nominees for Vocal Group of the Year.  The event will air live on CBS Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
