(Cleveland)- A house fire on E. 160 killed one man on Sunday morning, according to the Cleveland Fire Department. It is the first fire-related fatality of 2013 in Cleveland.

Second floor residents were able to leave the home before firefighters arrived. There were no working smoke detectors on the first floor.

He also recommends other residents take precautions in the wake of the incident.
"We just ask residents to check their smoke detectors," Gray says. "And always practice an escape plan.
