(Cleveland) -- Child endangering charges are expected to be filed against a 21 year old man who fled during a traffic stop, leaving two young children in the back seat of his car.
Cleveland Police pulled the man over around 2:00AM Saturday in the 99-hundred block of Nicholas.
They learned that the driver had no license, and he suggested dropping the children off at a house nearby.
When police knocked on the door, the man who lived there told them he did not know the driver.
That's when the suspect took off on foot.
The children, ages one and eight, were taken to the Jane Edna Hunter Social Services Building on Euclid Avenue, where their real families were contacted.
Social workers from the Department of Children and Family Services are also involved.
The suspect remains at large.
