(Cleveland) - Country superstar Jason Aldean plays at Progressive Field tonight. Fans will fill the stadium to see the 37 year old performer do Crazy Town, Big Green Tractor, and other hits.
Preparations for the event began right after the Indians game last Sunday. Jim Folk, Vice President of Ballpark Operations his crew began working even as kids were running the bases following the final out.
Folk tells Newsradio WTAM 1100 it took almost 3 days to construct the giant stage that Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr will be performing on.
Folk says they have made a special effort to protect the field, by putting down special flooring called TerraPlast, so fans will not be walking directly on the grass.
He explains that some rehabilitation will have to done to get the field ready for baseball when the concert is over.
Folk reveals, this is the biggest concert they have prepared for since Brad Paisley performed at Progressive Field in 2011.
