(Cleveland) - Around 1:40 am, Cleveland Police and hazmat crews responded to a west side home after reports of a suspected meth lab. Officers say they arrived at the Spring Road house to assist case workers from the Department of Children and Family Services.
Case workers at the scene reported that children were in the home which contained a possible meth lab. A Second District supervisor requested the assistance of the bomb squad.
Investigators say technicians arrived to help with the removal of materials associated with a working meth lab. Three children were taken into custody and transported to the Jane Edna Hunter Center.
A neighbor tells Newsradio WTAM 1100 that had been a lot of traffic in and out of the house in recent weeks, but had no idea there was a meth lab inside.
There were arrests, with possibly two people taken into custody.
